T3G Demonstrates TD-SCDMA Chipset Supporting HSDPA
October 21, 2005
T3G has integrated HSDPA technology in the 3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project) Release 5, in order to better address demand for high-speed data transmission. By using higher modulation schemes, the single-carrier HSDPA type of transmission can reach 2.8M. T3G has claimed to have successfully achieved the switch between TD-SCDMA and GSM, 384k data transmission, ultra-low power consumption, and video phone application with its HSDPA-capable TD-SCDMA chipset and reference based on Release 4. In the second half of 2006, T3G expects to unveil TD-SCDMA chipset and solutions with HSDPA support for commercial use, which provides 2.8M transmission rates. T3G has demonstrated its HSDPA achievement with Datang and ZTE, including high-speed data applications and transmission rate comparison between Release 4 and Release 5.
